Charitable Giving
Founded amid the pandemic, various regular visitors to Pushkar, wanted to help those in their second home. Bhagchand Nayak, became the trusted anchor for these donations. He worked with tourists, Bhopa and the authorities to organise regular food deliveries to four Bhopa settlements in the surrounding area. Bhangchand's project management did not end with feeding 98 families. He continued to funnel these generous donations into better housing, solar lighting and infrastructure in the village. Connections and various collaborations with local businesses and charities naturally developed - the Holi Foundation (Schooling), Flor di Loto (ID paperwork), and Radhey Electrics (Solar), has meant the project now has a much wider reach. The aim is now about continuing and building upon the progress already made, with a particular focus on Bhopa Basti. and micro business development for the villagers.
