We are a community project NGO fundraising to assist the Bhopa community of storytellers and musicians. For more about this forgotten tribe, please see our blog. We are helping the Bhopa with improved housing, solar powered lighting and obtaining vital ID documentation as well as sponsoring children into education.

The Bhopa village is situated in the shadow of the Savitri Mata Temple, 5 km outside of Pushkar in the sand-dunes of the Thar desert in Rajasthan, India. The climate is extreme and varies dramatically. The majority of the housing consists of basic plastic tent structures. There is no running water or mains electricity. Many of the Bhopa were also undocumented. We strive to improve the lives of everyone who need help within the community.

Please contact us for more information about how you can help bring about positive change.

One of the main reasons the Bhopa village community project was

founded back in 2019 was to help the Bhopa gypsies with improved housing, solar power and education.

We have dedicated much time, local knowledge and many resources to the pursuit of sustainable benefit for the community.

This began when we were also able to provide food relief packages to 4 villages throughout the lockdown periods of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, thanks to donations.

Contact us to see how you can help the village.
